How does the Meet & Greet work?

Every new client starts with a free Meet & Greet at your home. We walk through your pet's routine, feeding, medication, walking spots and quirks, and your pet gets to meet their sitter with you there. It usually takes 20-30 minutes and there's no obligation to book afterward.

Where do you provide services?

Walks and drop-in visits are offered within 5.0 miles of Metropolitan Park (1200 S Fern St), Arlington, VA. Overnight pet sitting is available throughout the entire DMV, with a $25.00 travel surcharge for stays 10+ miles from Metropolitan Park.

What pets do you care for?

Dogs and cats of all ages and sizes, including puppies, seniors, reactive dogs, foster pets and extremely shy cats. If you have a smaller companion like a bird, fish or small mammal, just ask.

Do you administer medication?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Food-based medicine (like a probiotic powder) is free of charge, and oral medication is administered for a $5.00 fee per administration. We'll go through dosing and timing together at the Meet & Greet so nothing is left to guesswork.

What happens during overnight stays?

Overnight options range from almost-overnight visits to classic (8+ hours), premium (12+ hours) and constant care. Your pet stays in their own home with their own bed, routine and treats, and you get updates throughout the stay.

How do I book?

Send a booking request with your dates and a little about your pet. Mia follows up personally, schedules your free Meet & Greet, then confirms your dates and a quote.

What happens if my pet has special needs?

Accepted Answer

Special needs are genuinely welcome — separation anxiety, reactive dogs, arthritis, IBS/IBD, puppies who aren't potty trained, antisocial cats and more. Share the details in your booking request so we can build the right plan.

Question 8

What should I provide for my pet sitter?

Accepted Answer

Food and treats, leash and harness, medication with instructions, cleaning supplies, and entry details. Everything else — including a Paw-gress Report and Strava-tracked walks — comes standard.

Question 9

How does pricing work for additional pets?

Accepted Answer

Additional pets add 50% to the regular price. For example, a 30-minute visit becomes $15.00 and a 45-minute visit becomes $20.00.

Are you insured?

Yes! Mia's Pampered Pets is insured through Pet Sitters Associates (PSA).

Question 11

What if my pet gets sick or injured?

Accepted Answer

In the event of an emergency, we will take your pet to the nearest animal hospital or to your own vet if possible. We will also contact you, or your designated emergency contact if you are not available.
